- Running. Put on your coat, a hat and gloves and lace up your shoes, and out you go! Running has many benefits for state of mind and mood and going for a run in the winter adds a layer of challenge and can increase the payoff. If running aint your thing, go for a walk.
- Ride A Bike. bundle up and lower the air pressure of your tires and strap on a helmet and try winter biking! it can be goofy and sloppy and it's pretty easy to fall.. so be safe and have fun.
- Sledding. don't have a sled? don't have the money to get one? no problem, grab a trash bag and poke a hole for your head and run and jump and slide down the hill like a crazy plastic bag covered penguin!
- Snow forts / Build a Snowperson. This costs you nothing, gets you outside, allows you to express some creativity and plus, it's pretty awesome to have a structure you can hide in with your pal or sweetie and throw snowballs at the neighbors.
- Yoga. don't wanna leave the house? open up youtube and do a yoga video. for bonus points, crank your heat up all the way for some hot yoga.
- Cook for people. You've gotta eat anyways, might as well make a bunch of something and bring it over to a friend, or into the office or to your neighbor who you pelted with snowballs.
Clickbait aside, the winter is a time that a lot of people stop doing the things that make them happy, or their activity level drops to a minimum. This can totally bum out anybody. It can be challenging, but you only get one life and it's a lot more fun if you live it all year long, even if you're not a cold weather person.
Cheers!
